Position-Site File Research and Public Service Manager

The Laboratory of Archaeology at the University of Georgia is seeking to hire a Site File Research and Public Service Manager to assist in the management of the Georgia Archaeological Site File in Athens, Georgia. Position includes taking a leadership role in the general project management and administration of the archaeological site file, applying for grants to sustain site file activities, and the establishment of collaborative relationships with descendant communities as well as with the University, USG, greater State of Georgia, and other outside partners and stakeholders. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. in anthropology with an emphasis in archaeology and digital archaeology. Expertise in archaeological site file management, project management and administration, grant and/or contract administration, and historic/heritage preservation. This position is a full time, 12 month appointment and with salary to be commensurate with experience.
