Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
The Southeastern Archaeological Conference (SEAC) website may collect anonymous, aggregate data about how the site is used, such as number of visitors, length of visit and most frequently visited pages. This information is used internally by SEAC to improve the site’s value to members.
Members may be asked to provide personal data, such as name, address, email, and telephone, for membership applications and orders for SEAC products and services. Personally identifiable information you provide will not be shared with third parties except when necessary to provide the product or service requested.
We take precautions to protect your information.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page. We never store complete credit card information.
SEAC uses the Authorize.Net Payment Gateway to manage the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the electronic check and credit card processing networks. Authorize.Net adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:
- 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.
- Industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.
- Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
