Position – NAGPRA Coordinator, Florida Museum

The Florida Museum (FM) is hiring a full-time NAGPRA Coordinator within the Department of Natural History. The FM currently cares for thousands of Native American ancestors and numerous cultural belongings and is committed to fully complying with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). This full-time, TEAMS exempt staff position will lead the FM’s NAGPRA program and report to the Curator of Florida Archaeology and Bioarchaeology. With this position we seek to strengthen the FM’s NAGPRA program and invigorate our efforts to fulfill the University of Florida’s legal and ethical obligations. In addition, the FM is actively seeking applicants who contribute to the inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) of both academic and public communities and who have experience working with and supporting underserved communities and historically excluded groups.
