Dovetail is accepting applications for a full-time Project Archaeologist based out of our Fredericksburg, Virginia office. Primary responsibilities center on the day-to-day management of, and participation in, archaeological projects of all types and sizes. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, with strong communication skills and broad experience in all phases of archaeological investigations. Preference will go to candidates with a specialized research skill, such as faunal or osteological analysis, and/or research interests in the history of the Mid-Atlantic, though prehistoric archaeologists are also encouraged to apply.
