Position – Director

Director, CRM Program, Louisiana Public Archaeology Lab

The Louisiana Public Archaeology Lab will be hiring a Director of the Cultural Resources Management (CRM) Program to conduct and supervise CRM investigations, including Phase I archaeological surveys, throughout Louisiana. Pending administrative approval, this is a 12-month, non-tenure track appointment as a Research Scientist at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Continued employment will be contingent on successful procurement and completion of grants and contracts. Required qualifications include an MA or PhD in Archaeology/Anthropology, with experience in CRM, and evidence of successful completion of contracted research through authorship of technical reports. Prior experience in the Lower Mississippi Valley and expertise in historical archaeology, GIS, or remote sensing will be beneficial.
