Position – Public Archaeology Coordinator, Florida Atlantic University

The Department of Anthropology at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is seeking a Public Archaeology Coordinator for the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) Southwest Region. The Public Archaeology Coordinator raises awareness and a sense of stewardship for archaeological resources. The Coordinator is responsible for organizing public outreach and education, as well as developing opportunities and strategies for engaging diverse publics on archaeological issues. This requires extensive travel within the region of Glades, Hendry, Collier, Charlotte, and Lee Counties (may assist in other counties and regions as needed). In addition, the Coordinator will cultivate collaborative relationships with and assist state and local governments and the Florida Division of Historical Resources within the region.
