The University of Georgia (UGA) is hiring a cluster of six tenure-track or tenured faculty in Environmental Artificial Intelligence (AI). As part of the cluster hire, the Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in “Deep Learning” Paleoclimatology and Dendrochronology, especially applicants specializing in tree-ring analysis in archaeology and the use of deep learning methods to reconstruct past climate signals and variations, optimization of chronological coverage along geographical and temporal dimensions, and integration of tree-ring derived information with other science-based dating techniques and proxy information.
